Damage Waiver Policy

At Geaux Rental Company (GRC), we take pride in providing clean, reliable, and well-maintained rental equipment. To provide our customers with added protection, GRC may offer a Damage Waiver option for eligible rentals.

Please review the following Damage Waiver Policy before selecting this option.

1. What Is a Damage Waiver?

A Damage Waiver is an optional fee that may reduce the customer's financial responsibility for certain accidental damages that occur during the rental period.

A Damage Waiver is not insurance and does not eliminate the customer's responsibility for properly caring for and using rented equipment.

Customers remain responsible for following all rental policies, safety guidelines, and proper equipment-use instructions.

2. Damage Waiver Coverage

If purchased and approved by GRC, the Damage Waiver may cover certain accidental damages, including:

• Unintentional damage caused during normal use
• Minor repairs resulting from accidental incidents
• Equipment damage not caused by misuse or negligence

Coverage eligibility is determined solely by Geaux Rental Company after inspection of the returned equipment.

3. Damage Waiver Does Not Cover

The Damage Waiver does not cover:

• Lost, stolen, or missing equipment
• Intentional damage
• Abuse, misuse, or negligence
• Failure to follow instructions
• Damage caused by unauthorized repairs or modifications
• Damage caused by improper storage or protection
• Missing accessories, parts, or components
• Excessive cleaning fees
• Damage caused by weather or unsafe conditions
• Damage caused by unauthorized relocation of equipment

Customers may be responsible for full replacement or repair costs for excluded damages.

4. Customer Responsibilities

Even with a Damage Waiver selected, customers agree to:

• Use equipment responsibly and only for its intended purpose
• Keep equipment secure during the rental period
• Prevent theft, loss, or unauthorized use
• Report any damage or issues to GRC as soon as possible
• Return equipment in a reasonable condition

Failure to comply with these responsibilities may void Damage Waiver coverage.

5. Equipment Inspection

All equipment is inspected before and after each rental.

If damage is discovered after return, GRC will evaluate:

• The condition of the equipment before rental
• The nature and extent of damage
• Whether the damage qualifies under the Damage Waiver

Customers may be contacted regarding any charges resulting from excluded damages.

6. Damage Waiver Fee

The Damage Waiver fee, if offered, will be listed separately on the customer's quote, invoice, or rental agreement.

The Damage Waiver fee must be paid before the rental period begins in order to be valid.

Damage Waiver coverage cannot be added after damage has occurred.

7. Photo Booth & Event Rental Equipment

For Photo Booth and Event Rental equipment, customers are responsible for protecting equipment from:

• Spills or liquid exposure
• Guest misuse
• Unauthorized handling
• Unsafe environments
• Theft or removal from the event location

GRC reserves the right to stop service if equipment is being damaged, misused, or placed in unsafe conditions.

8. Moving Tote Rentals

For Moving Tote Rentals, customers remain responsible for:

• Returning all totes and accessories
• Preventing loss or theft
• Keeping equipment reasonably clean
• Returning items free of excessive damage

Damage Waiver does not cover missing totes, dollies, labels, or accessories.

9. Final Determination

Geaux Rental Company reserves the right to determine whether damage qualifies for Damage Waiver coverage.

Participation in the Damage Waiver program does not guarantee that all damages will be waived.

10. Acceptance of Terms

By selecting a Damage Waiver option, customers acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Damage Waiver Policy.
